We pride ourselves on fostering a strong sense of community and creating an engaging, educational space for children to develop key skills for lifelong learning. We are currently seeking a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our team and help guide our youngest learners on their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the toddler setting, ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
- Supervise and mentor a team of dedicated educators, providing support, training, and professional development.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate learning activities that promote children’s development.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safeguarding policies.
- Monitor children’s progress and maintain accurate records of their development.
- Foster a positive and safe environment where children can freely explore and learn through play.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum.
- Proven experience working in a leadership role within a toddler room or early years setting.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Passionate about early childhood education and committed to the well-being and development of children.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and team management.
- Ability to foster positive relationships with parents and families.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
Desirable Qualifications & Skills:
- Paediatric First Aid certification.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
