Children in Need Fun at The Nursery in Portishead
We all had lots of fun at The Nursery in Portishead as the children, families and team came together to help raise money for BBC Children in Need.
Children in Need is always an important event in our nursery calendar, giving us a lovely opportunity to talk to the children about kindness, helping others and making a positive difference. Throughout the day, the nursery was full of excitement as everyone joined in with a range of themed activities to mark the occasion.
The children enjoyed a special dress-up day, with lots of colourful outfits and happy smiles across the nursery. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and embracing the spirit of the day. Alongside the dressing up, the children also took part in Pudsey-themed arts and crafts, creating their own bright and cheerful artwork while developing their creativity, fine motor skills and confidence.
A raffle was also held as part of our fundraising activities, helping to bring our nursery community together in support of such a worthwhile cause. Events like this are a lovely way for children to begin learning about charity, empathy and the importance of supporting other children and families who may be facing difficult circumstances.
At The Nursery, we are always proud to support BBC Children in Need, a charity that raises funds to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Taking part in events like this helps us encourage caring values from an early age, while also creating memorable experiences for the children.
