We had a brilliant week at Farm School – making new friends with scarecrows!

We made our own scarecrows by filling hay nets and dressing them in fancy dress. This gave the children opportunity to use their voice and choose their own clothes. By the end we had some real characters and we even named them!

Next, we visited the newborn calves in the cow barn. Farmer Bex taught us what to do to look after a baby calf, and we all learnt how to care for these gentle giants.

We also fed the chickens and collected some eggs, which is always a favourite activity. This week there we LOTS of eggs and we loved counting them as we put them in the baskets.

A quick reminder to everyone that next week is our last Farm School session of the season, and we’ll be having a party and lots of fun to end the Farm School term. See you there!
