Over the past six months, our Preschool children have been going on adventures to a local Farm School. Taking weekly trips out to a new environment and allowing them to work with the animals and their keepers, has allowed them to all grow in confidence and learn new skills. The children have been exposed to a variety of unique and exciting opportunities over the past 6 months and it has been wonderful to watch them grow each and every visit.
Allowing children to interact with animals and learn about pet ownership can assist with emotional, cognitive, social and behavioural development. Working with animals can assist children emotionally and boost self-esteem and confidence. Our children can learn about the responsibilities of looking after an animal and benefit from the petting and cuddles that they are rewarded with.
