What a fabulous day we all had celbratring World Book Day. Everyone involved, the children, staff and parents had so much fun creating “We’re gong on a bear hunt!”, the day included a sensory play, story time and of course, dressing up.
Did you know? World book day was created by UNESCO on 23rd April 1995 as a worldwide celebration of books and reading. The day is now celebrated in over 100 countries around the globe. The first wold book day in the UK and Ireland took place in 1997, with the aim of, encouraging young people to discover the pleasure of reading.
Bringing stories to life with the sensory play and dressing up encourages the partisipating of book reading to help our children grow.
