In Activities, Farm School, Outings, The Nursery

Farm School was very interesting this week as we focused on being young farmers!

We closely shadowed Farmer Bex and found out what she does everyday at the farm. We mainly focused on animal care and how to keep the animals happy and health.

We found that the horses to the most care because we….

-fed them

-groomed them

-checked their shoes

-bridled and saddled them

-exercised them

The children even got to help Farmer Bex take the Shetland horses around the arena, where we held our own mini dressage show!

The children were fascinated in the whole care process and asked some really important how and why questions! They also showed a great deal of care and concern for the animals which was absolutely fantastic to observe.

The children have most defiantly grown in confidence and were all desperate to be involved and have a go!

We can’t wait for next week…
